MIND-BLOWING FACTS RELATED TO TECHNOLOGY THAT MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW

Technology is all about relentless seek of knowledge and to apply the knowledge in betterment of society. So every advancement we see, went through million trials and countless hours of experiment.  And some time they are more expensive than the budget of a block buster Hollywood movies. So today we will going to see some mind-blowing facts related to technology that most people don’t know.

1.Microsoft put a cloud data centre under water

Quite interesting, here's what Microsoft says:
"50% of us live near the coast. Why doesn't our data?"

Water and electronics usually don't mix. But Microsoft thinks dumping computers in the ocean might be the wave of future. Where companies like Facebook and Google prefer to move their data centre to colder countries to reduce their air conditioning bill, Microsoft has come up with an even better home for data centres while cutting high energy costs for cooling them: Under the Sea.

2. Biotechnology

We now have the ability to wear bionic hands that are controlled by our brains. Through neuroscience, people without hands or those who have no ability to move their hands can now control them with their brain.

Pretty insane when you think about it, but also very beneficial to those who will use this technology to gain the ability to use their hands, it’s a boon for them.

3.Transparent Wood

Last year researchers at the University of Maryland have developed transparent wood. Ya you have heard right, Sodium hydroxide and hydrogen peroxide are used to remove the organic substance that gives wood its distinctive coloring (lignin), leaving the wood white. They then add an epoxy to the wood to allow light to pass through it. The resulting material is twice as strong as Plexiglass. Pretty amazing stuff right.

4.LINKA is the World's first auto-unlocking smart bike lock

Designed with the innovative auto-unlocking feature recognizing when you approach for convenience. The Noose chain allows you to connect directly to our smart lock without the need of any keys. Quite interesting and helpful invention for the guys who lost their keys frequently.

Features:-

Auto Unlocking: -
We all know how frustrating it can be lock and unlock your bike when you need to just stop in for a quick second. Many of us even leave our bikes completely unlocked! With LINKA's revolutionary Auto-Unlock feature, you no longer have to pull out your keys or a bulky lock from your bag. As you approach your bike, LINKA will recognize you and unlock automatically. Not only is this perfect for when you got your hands full, it's also convenient to you up and going quicker than ever.

5. Philips Hue Light Bulbs

Control the mood lighting anywhere in your house with these unique bulbs that can be controlled over your Wi-Fi network from your smartphone. Dim, switch off, and cycle through different color palettes within seconds and create your dream atmosphere.

6. Li-Fi (Light Fidelity)

Features of Li-Fi:-
It's around 100X times faster than Wi-Fi.
It's considered to be environment friendly (green tech).
Uses Visible light spectrum for data transmission.
Blazing speed of 224 Gb/s
Even though the discovery started decade ago, but the commercial use started in 2015.
Seems like Wi-Fi finally got a competitor.

7. People have actually begun putting QR codes on their loved one's grave stones.
Scanning them will lead you to online tributes to the dead where you can read their obituaries.

Technology has gone too far!

8. Google’s first ever Tweet on Twitter was in February 2009, and reads ”I’m 01100110 01100101 01100101 01101100 01101001 01101110 01100111 00100000 01101100 01110101 01100011 01101011 01111001 00001010.” Translating from binary into English, this tweet says “I’m feeling lucky.”

9. WhatsApp is worth more than NASA’s entire Annual budget of around 17 billion dollars.

10. In the world of smartphones you will definitely going to experience following cool stuffs in upcoming years !

  • Super processors: Samsung already said that they’ll be launching phones having a freaking 6 GB of RAM. WOW! That's like a lot.

  • Virtual 3D movies/media: well it is already a reality now but we will be able to see amazing advancements in this field in upcoming years . Surely the most game changing thing for all smartphones.

  • Type C usb: this is a better port which will replace the current charging port of all smartphones . Galaxy S7 will be the one having one and slowly all phones will get replaced with such port .

  • Better bluetooth/ display/ camera : oh yes these things will get more advanced as one will be able to transfer data from one's phone to another at blazing speeds , will have more pixel density and clarity in display and yeah much more powerful cameras respectively .

  • Eye scanners / better security systems:  we can witness much more better security systems apart from fingerprint scanners like eye scanners etc. which are definitely one to watch out for.

  • Connectivity with many day to day devices via your smartphones: locking and unlocking of cars, controlling many electrical appliances etc. will not going to be a dream for us anymore and will be going to be very useful in future.

11. TRACTOR BEAMS!!!  :
A researcher holds a device that is composed of 64 mini speakers that generate 40 kHz acoustic field that traps and levitates a 3 mm polystyrene bead. They can use the acoustic field to control objects up to 4 mm.  Sound is a mechanical wave that can exert significant force.  Just remember the last time you were at a live concert and you could feel your chest vibrate with the music.

12. The digital camera was invented by Kodak.

That's right, the company that was the King of Film invented the digital camera, then hoped it would never see the light of day as a product.
Perhaps because of their short-sightedness, Kodak failed to adapt to changing technology and became but a mere shell of its former self.

13. Doug Engelbart had made the first computer mouse in 1964, and it was made out of hard wooden shell and two clunky metal wheels.

I might have skipped many points but hey no one knew that we will be using such amazing and advanced smartphones!

So predicting each and every stuff will be quite a big task and yes one should give rooms to lil bit of surprises also ;) and if you know some more technologies then tell us in the comment section and follow our blog for many more awesome article as the name suggest about everything.
